Meditating: A place to check-in

As we go throughout the day, we are constantly collecting whether it being smells or sounds. Perhaps being late to work or finding a bill is owed a tad sooner than expected leaves our brains and bodies full of thoughts and ideas of how to solve and take in these interactions with the world.

Meditating is taking the time to listen to all that your body and brain have absorbed over the time. Listening to what is brought up can be overwhelming and it takes time to be able to understand exactly what may unfold during your meditative practice. While others may already be doing so without even realizing it which can be a challenge as well to pinpoint when and how to utilize this exercise to your full benefit. As we continue to practice meditation the stronger our focus becomes and the ability to accept new information, clear the mind, and renew thinking becomes that much easier.

Being mindful to our body and the responses our body go through can provide guidance in helping us maintain the stillness of our mind.
