Anxiety & the Monkey Mind

Anxiety is something we all struggle with. Anxiety is a form of fear. With fear we are limited. With fear we can believe we are alone and with this brings suffering. WE are not alone we are all connected in this Universe. This is where the monkey mind can rob us of this connection.

The “Monkey Mind” is our minds way of protecting us. With this protection, we are protected from that which is hurting us and our survival. As we sit and notice the now we may notice that there is a flood of emotions, thoughts, and ideas that come bursting through. These “distractions” take you away from the now, present moment. Through mediation we didcate time to listen to this “Monkey Mind” so we may better focus in the present moment.
